Service Description

Music Identifier provides song recognition and related audio utilities for internet users through the website at song-identify.com and, where available, a browser extension. Core use of the Service does not require user registration or account creation.

Browser-based tools on the website may include editing and analysis features (for example trimming, equalization, normalization, conversion, tempo or key estimates). Many of those tools process files locally in your browser. Recognition features may need network access to match audio against a catalog or technical backend.

User Conduct

You agree to use Music Identifier only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the internet. You must not:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the Service except where allowed by law;
• use the Service to distribute malware or unlawful content;
• misrepresent the results of recognition or analysis tools as certified or error-free professional advice;
• upload or process content you do not have the right to use.

Intellectual property and content you provide

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by Music Identifier or its licensors. You retain rights to audio files you process locally on your device. If you submit content through recognition or contact channels, you grant only the limited rights needed to provide the Service or respond to you.

Recognition results, BPM, key, chord, and similar outputs are estimates generated by software. They may be incomplete or incorrect and are provided for convenience only.

Modifications to the Service

Music Identifier reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. Features on the website or in the extension may change, be limited, or be removed as the product evolves.

Termination

Music Identifier may terminate or suspend access to the service at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Music Identifier expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that recognition matches, analysis results, or local tools will be accurate, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

Limitation of Liability

Music Identifier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

The Service may link to third-party sites or rely on third-party infrastructure. Music Identifier is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be subject to separate terms.
